Meet Mrs. Minnesota International 2011!



Mindy Urzua (Mrs. Scott County) was crowned Mrs. Minnesota International 2011 on March 13th in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where she competed with other "county/city" title holders from across the state. These women are recognized for their achievements as individuals and as a vital part of the family unit.

Her Platform
"Life is for Living" Her career in nursing started 10 years ago and has seen many different opportunities in the field of geriatrics. After marrying her husband, USMC Sgt. Rafael Urzua Jr., 5 years ago, her passion for hospice began with a position at a facility on Hilton Head Island, SC.  She is affiliated with theNational Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.




Mindy is privileged and humbled to represent her field as Mrs Minnesota International 2011. "Being an ambassador Minnesota is a fantastic avenue to share with the public my love and passion for hospice programs and facilities, for patients and loved ones experiencing, quite possibly, the most intimate time in one's life, the end of life. I take great pride in educating and spreading the word on the importance of the absolute art of comfort, pain management and maintaining dignity for both patient and the entire family and friend unit."
